Only 45 minutes east of Biarritz, and 45 minutes west of Pau (both with airports, Ryanair flights). 1 hour to the Spanish border and the ski slopes of the Pyrenees. Lourdes 1 1/2 hours away, Bordeaux and Toulouse 2 hours approximately.
